Prefab wooden houses are now a part of everyday life for a lot of people all over the world. For decades wooden structures have been considered habitats for the lower-class, which was explained by the simplicity and unpretentiousness of both interior and exterior look.
Today technology allows you to build a really luxurious wooden house with custom and unique design having everything a well-to-do person can possibly desire. There are a lot of companies and manufacturers out there so consider all your options before you place an order.
As always quality goes first! Take a car engineering industry, for example. They propose you different products, but we all know that the higher the price, the greater reliability and quality. You can get yourself a premium quality automobile, you can also buy a nice car for a fair price, however there is a chance they sell you a real crap, if you decide to go greedy! What to do if you would like to be sure in the place to live for you and your family? Do not look at the price as an ultimate factor, but remember that money determines the quality of the product. And quality is a key when it comes to comfort and reliability. You will definitely come across a lot of problems when you think to save some money on your own home and welfare.
Then it would be great if you already know what exactly you want! Sounds quite obvious, right? But do not be quick to skip this part. Companies will be more than happy to provide any help their customers need, but (and now I can hear representatives of the industry cheering up hearing this) it is very difficult to make something done when a client doesn’t know exactly what he or she wants! If you don’t know what types of a wooden house (or just house) exist, it would be recommended to hire a professional (an architect or a consultant, for example). This person will be able to translate all your needs to the company, since they basically speak the same language (quite complicated language, I might add). Villas, cabins, tiny and micro houses have their own merits and disadvantages and not every client can grasp it all at once.
Another thing you should care about is how you would like your house to be constructed. Now bear with me on this one, all right? There are a number of methods your future house can be pre-fabricated. The more work is done at the factory, the less money you spend on-site. Here is one of the most popular types of pre-fabrication:
— Pre-cut: one of the oldest ways of pre-fabrication. Panels, logs and beams are cut, treated, notched and drilled at the premises of a manufacturer. Then the product is shipped directly to assembly site. This method is more accurate comparing with on-site conditions. It is always easier to make precise measurements at a factory than it the field.
— Panelized: same money – better quality. A manufacturer provides not just beams, but the whole house elements ready to be installed. Some companies ready to deliver walls, roof and ceiling which are almost completely finished, requiring only minimum additional work.
— Modular: ‘boxes’ to live in. They deliver almost ready houses. Only minimum on-site work required. Of course it takes more time to design this box at manufacturer facilities, however when a product comes to you it is almost ready to accommodate new people. This method lacks some versatility, but saves a lot of time.
If you really want to buy a perfect wooden house, you shouldn’t rush the decision. Meet a manufacturer, see what the company is able to do, ask for some approval documentation and certificates. It wouldn’t hurt to know about its past projects as well.
Do not procrastinate! Prefab wooden houses are the way to go! Doesn’t matter how much money you have, the industry is able to provide you with any solution. Just be careful and keep in mind all the recommendations you have read. Have a nice house!
